This Privacy Policy explains how ChainBox ("we", "our", or "us") processes information when you use IdeaMic ("the App").
2. Information We Process
- Voice input data: when you hold the record button, audio is used for speech recognition.
- Transcribed text and conversation content: recognized text and message content are stored locally on your device for history display.
- Preference data: such as language setting (
app_language) and local subscription state flag (chat_is_subscribed). - Technical diagnostics: limited technical information (such as error states) for reliability and troubleshooting.
3. Permissions
The App may request microphone and speech-recognition permissions. If denied, recording and speech-to-text features may not work.
4. How Information Is Processed
- You can use core features without creating an account.
- Conversation history is stored locally on your device by default.
- Speech recognition relies on Apple system capabilities, and related processing may be provided by Apple.
- Legal-document pages load language-specific Markdown files from ChainBox CDN.
5. Data Sharing
We share only the minimum necessary data when required to provide features, such as Apple speech capabilities and document-delivery infrastructure. We do not sell your personal information.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Local conversation data remains on your device until you delete conversations or uninstall the App. You can clear history through in-app controls.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data in transit and at rest.
8. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy based on feature or compliance changes. Continued use of the App after updates means you accept the revised policy.
