Check If an Image Is AI-Generated

See whether an image says it was made with AI. We read Content Credentials (C2PA), IPTC/XMP tags, AI generation settings and AIGC labels inside the file. Everything runs in your browser — nothing is uploaded.

FAQ

How does this AI image checker work?
It reads labels that AI tools and cameras write into the file: C2PA Content Credentials, the IPTC "digital source type" tag, generator names, generation settings saved by tools like Stable Diffusion and ComfyUI, and AIGC labels used in China. It does not guess from how the image looks.
If no label is found, is the image real?
Not necessarily. Screenshots, re-saving and most social and chat apps remove metadata. A missing label proves nothing either way.
What are Content Credentials (C2PA)?
An open standard for signed provenance data. Tools such as ChatGPT, Adobe Firefly and some cameras attach a signed record of how the image was made. We check the signature and show whether the signer is on the C2PA trust list.
Can it detect Google SynthID?
No. SynthID is an invisible watermark inside the pixels, and there is no public way to check it in the browser.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Images are checked in your browser and never leave your device.
Which files can I check?
JPEG, PNG, WebP, HEIC and AVIF, up to 30 files at a time and 50 MB each.
