Goblin Breach: the Chapter I temporary portal
This page only restates the October 12, 2026 patch notes. Durations, drops, and upgrade costs they omit are marked TODO.
It starts at the Forgotten Temple
On an existing Exploration Mode world or a new one, players sense something stirring at the Forgotten Temple. Go there and explore the new Goblin Lab to start unlocking Chapter I.
A new Chapter screen lays out objectives and what completing them unlocks.
The temporary portal
Once the chapter opens, a temporary portal appears in the world. It arrives with some force.
Beyond it is an unstable fragment of Orbis that the goblins have claimed, with the Void pressing in around the edges.
The space regenerates each time you enter. The Void eventually pushes you out.
You can earn more time by fighting back the Void and upgrading the Goblin Breach Console in the Goblin Lab.
The Guttering Hollows inside
The notes place the Guttering Hollows beyond the portal: predators you can track and trap, Void assassins, treasure chests that spring enemy waves, and puzzles.
Hunts on the far side of a breach need a Voidheart. Hunt sites have their own icon on the world map. The notes say this space was built so more can be added later.
Most of the revamped goblin faction is here. Not every goblin wants a fight: they are wary of the Void and run from Void creatures unless enough friends are nearby.
